Welcome to the IOSH Manchester & North West Districts Branch

I would like to welcome you to the Manchester & North West Districts Branch web page. Here you will find a wide range of information which includes a full listing of the various committees and venues, time and dates of forthcoming meetings and the event programmes for the coming year. This provides you with an excellent selection of quality HSE related presentations at a location close to you, the opportunity for networking with others during meetings and/or seminars, or simply just to come along and see what we do. Remember too, that generally all meetings are free of charge although some seminars may carry a small charge to cover costs.

Your Executive Committee is responsible for the management of the Branch. To this end the Committee are fully committed to providing and maintaining existing services for the membership, whilst developing new ideas and improvement opportunities to enhance services still further. In March of this year John Holden, previous Chairman of the Executive Committee, launched the new Branch plan which sets out the organisation and arrangements within the Branch. I intend, with support from the Committee, to build on this plan with particular emphasise placed on Mentoring services for members right across the age spectrum. I will keep you informed of such developments.

Of course you may wish to get involved in the Branch and its activities; this may be as an active member of the Committee, or as a passive member, who volunteers periodically to help out at seminars and/or other functions etc. Please let me know if you can help in any way.
